Ten Dutch nationals arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday as the first group of foreign travellers after opening the Sri Lankan airports for commercial flights.
The group arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport, on flight EK 648 from Dubai yesterday (21) night.
The Hiru News correspondent at the airport stated that 5 Dutch adults and 5 children were among the group.
In addition, another five German tourists arrived at the BIA today (22) morning.
Reportedly, that they are a group of journalists who came to cover the re-opening of Sri Lanka to foreign tourists.
Meanwhile, 186 Sri Lankan workers who were staying in Bahrain also arrived in the island yesterday afternoon.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Thursday evening announced he will be taking action against the Biden Administration over its illegal deportation freeze.
Biden signed an Executive Order on Wednesday putting a temporary 100-day freeze on deportations of illegal aliens.
Joe Biden put illegal aliens over taxpaying American citizens in his quest to destroy the US.
Mr. Paxton sent a letter to Acting Secretary of Department of Homeland Security David Pekoske demanding the agency immediately rescind its illegal, unconscionable deportation freeze or Texas will sue.

Despite 34 points from Tai Webster, the New Zealand Breakers started their Australian NBL season with a 94-91 defeat in Adelaide against the 36ers last night.
The Breakers looked handily placed to win when Webster, back at the club after seven years abroad, sank a last-minute three-pointer for an 82-79 lead.

Most of the lower and central North Island experienced the random event around 9.25pm.
Thousands reported losing power for a matter of seconds with reports of flickering lights and TVs spontaneously turning off then back on.
The event affected the North Island, with people in Whanganui, Wellington, Upper Hutt, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Ruapehu reporting the brief loss of power.
